Your AMCA Board of Directors is excited to announce that we have been successful in negotiating a reduced registration rate of $310 USD for the 2024 IIMC Conference in Calgary, recognizing the continued disparity between the Canadian and US Dollar. This change equates to a savings of $315 USD per registration. Additionally, the IIMC will be offering a complimentary IIMC Membership (with purchase of Conference registration) to any Alberta Clerk who has never been an IIMC Member.

The AMCA is pleased to recognize the IIMC as an official affiliate of our association. Together we have signed a memorandum of understanding that commits the parties to:

• developing a partnership for the mutual promotion and benefit of each organization, and
  
• promoting the professionalism of our members.
  

The IIMC sponsors education programs, engages in research, and fosters a spirit of mutual assistance and good fellowship among clerks everywhere. Members have access to a variety of opportunities and programs. IIMC helps you find solutions to everyday problems, enhances critical professional skills and improves your performance at work. The IIMC holds a 4-day conference every May. There are 2 general sessions, 35 concurrent education sessions, plus special sessions and several food and beverage functions. Anyone working towards the Certified Municipal Clerk or Master Municipal Clerk designations will have access to 16 education hours for a total of eight education points. The IIMC offers 2 certifications for municipal clerks, the Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and the Master Municipal Clerk (MMC).  Learn more about these great programs here.
